Title sequences are there to establish who is involved within the film, e.g Actors, director, producers, executive producers, music composer's and many more.
There are 3 different ways credits can appear.
1). Separate credit/title sequences
2). Titles appear over the images as narrative plays.
3). Image/blank screen with credits.
The title sequence used in 'Catch me if you can', is very unique. It uses old art Deco style design for the typography and visuals, which is a reference to the era of the film. The same goes for the music, its a mysterious type jazz music which reflects a cat and mouse theme. The title's show the different alias of the main character's many jobs. The characters are established by the silhouettes with the arrows pointing at them.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gaLDyrun_Cc
